I have been a practicing Industrial Designer for approximately 12 years. I have designed successful products for brands like High Sierra, Alternative (apparel), Wenger, California Innovations, New Balance, Camelbak and Case Logic (to name a few). I have worked closely with Polyconcept's factories in China to produce efficient and cost conscious tooling. I have also received innovation awards through ASI and PPAI (two, recognized, promotional industry organizations) for both patented and unpatented, designs.

A DIVERSE BACKGROUND
My background covers everything from technical writing to sculpture. I am a skilled presenter and have been known to engage an audience while driving a solid argument and purpose for concepts I am working on. Because I design for people, I find that the empathy required to do so allows me to create a compelling story while outlining a relatable end-user or persona (as you have stated within the job description). This same skill is one I use in creating proprietary brands and the products designed to support said brands. For me, sometimes a brand story evolves from a trend, a product need, an emerging market or ergonomics. I use sketching, mock-ups and 3D engineering drawings (SolidWorks) to create a cohesive package for each design. Recently, I have begun to dabble in the basics of UX/UI to create instruction manuals and visuals for products like, drones, IOT products and wireless audio products and proposals for application design though I have a lot to learn in this area.
